Adelaide Physiotherapy Clinic - Bodywise Physiotherapy and Acupuncture Clinic

Your Physiotherapy service at BodyWise provides you with comprehensive assessment and treatment protocols based on current medical research. Your physiotherapist will treat you with a variety of manual therapy techniques including massage, mobilization, manipulation and dry needling. They will educate you about your condition which will help you prevent future recurrences.

At BodyWise, your therapist discusses the best treatment approach for your condition with you. Your therapist takes the time to educate you on your condition to empower you to be an active participant in the healing process. This education also enables you to understand the causative factors to your condition, and teaches you the “to do’s” and “not to do’s” in order to remain pain free. This will help prevent recurrence of your condition.

Your Physiotherapy assessment and treatment at BodyWise is based upon current medical research. This ensures your therapist works with proven, evidence-based protocols that will facilitate a speedy recovery. This may include Physiotherapy, Acupuncture or Cranio-Sacral Therapy in isolation, or in any combination of these modalities. The direction of treatment will be guided by your therapist taking a comprehensive medical history during a 1 hour consultation.

Your treatment may include techniques such as;

  • Massage
  • Mobilization
  • Dry Needling
  • Education
  • Biomechanics analysis
  • Exercise therapy
  • Manipulation
  • Electro-acupuncture
  • Ergonomic advice

Where appropriate, your therapist may organise further investigations such as x-rays, or organise to seek the professional opinion from other health care providers such as sports physicians and orthopaedic surgeons.
